Regional tour: „Touik Touik Philomèle“ / Cie À Trois Branches

Touik Touik Philomèle is a musical show created for children aged 6 months to 5 years and their families. This versatile show delves into the experience of time passing, the life cycle, and the changing seasons.

The show Touik Touik Philomèle is presented in a spiral motion that vanishes and is reborn, much like an endless variation. Through whistles and onomatopoeias, it evokes a joyful flock of birds getting ready for their migration. The seasons follow one another: autumn carries the birds away, winter sees them remaining and singing despite the cold, and spring bursts forth with colors in a vibrant textile setting, setting the stage for the summer celebration.

For this show, plastic artist Marie-Noëlle Deverre, known for her moving installations, has designed a dynamic stage setting. Inspired by the works of Calder, American sculptor and painter, she uses materials and mobile rods to represent birds, with fabrics replacing metal shapes. The main instruments are voices, bird calls, and pebbles, creating a soundscape filled with bird songs. Composer Martin Moulin contributes to the stage with poetic music, based on phonetically transcribed bird songs and playful tongue twisters.

This program is being supported through the Teatroskop 2024 call for projects, with additional support from Spedidam.
