REGIONAL TOUR : Scoooootch ! and Dadaaa by Amélie Poirier
Scooooootch! metaphorically questions: “How do I build myself? What constitutes me? How do I inhabit the world?”
SCOOOOTCH! is a performance for young audiences at the crossroads of movement, of sound and a material: tape. The tape is a metaphor for our relationship with others. Along the show, three performers are playing with various possibilities created through interaction between the tape, the space and their own personalities. This ‘scotch’ and the unpredictability of the matter itself, joyfully leads them towards multiple, unexpected changes.
SCOOOOTCH! is a playful experience of our ever-changing experience in which the audience is invited to take part at the end of the show. Children will have the opportunity to come to the stage, touch and experiment with this material.
Dadaaa transport us to a nonsensical world inspired by the spirit of Dada. And who could be more Dada than children?
In this piece, Amélie Poirier enjoys herself by reproducing the minimalist puppets of Dada artist Sophie Taeuber-Arp. They appear in an acoustic performance, inspired by Dada poems, where words have more substance than meaning.
The whole show is joyous and sparkling, provoking amazement and spontaneous laughter from the very young !
