Regional tour: „Ne m’attends pas…“ / Cie La neige sur les cils
Ne m’attends pas… is a performance by Véra Rozanova that integrates puppetry, drawing, and video to explore displacement and the quest for home. Presented bilingually, this project is designed for an international audience. It delves into themes of abandonment and loss through a visual universe where houses have legs, wings, or sails and set off on journeys.
The text is written by Christophe Moyer and it discusses the places we take and lose, and the homes we leave behind and that leave us. In this performance, houses move every night, providing inhabitants with new views each morning. However, when a house flies away without its occupant, the person is left alone, waiting for an uncertain return.
Ne m’attends pas… uses glove puppets and animated drawings to offer a dreamlike and contemporary exploration of the relationships between individuals and their environment. It addresses cultural heritage and the notion of home in the context of mobility and change.
This program is being supported through the Teatroskop 2024 call for projects.
