Regional tour: “GO!” / Cie Corps In Situ
GO! is a performance suitable for audiences aged 7 and up. It explores encounters and play through a choreography that blends contemporary dance, martial arts, and digital arts. The story follows two boys as they face each other in a series of games and challenges. Each interaction helps them better understand one another, uncovering each other’s strengths and limitations.
Founded in 2024 under the direction of choreographers Jennifer Gohier and Grégory Beaumont, Corps In Situ, based in Metz and Luxembourg, offers a unique choreographic experience with their production, GO! The show incorporates various martial influences, particularly karate, which contributes rhythmic and structured energy to the performance, and Bujinkan Budō Taijutsu, which enhances the movement with baton manipulation and fluid motion.
The arrival of dancer Hernan Mancebo in 2023 enriched the martial aspect of the performance by incorporating elements of kung fu. This blend of disciplines allows GO! to stage a context where the opponent transforms into a partner in play. This creates a dynamic balance in which every gesture and interaction is filled with humour, respect, and attentiveness.
This program is being supported through the Teatroskop 2024 call for projects and by French Institute in Paris through program IF Export.
