Artistic residency and regional tour: „Simulate 2060“ / Pro Progressione
The Simulate 2060 project is a collaborative and interdisciplinary theatre initiative. It explores our future through the framework of role-playing games and new virtual media platforms. This unique project is co-produced by Pro Progressione (Budapest, HU) and Occitanie en Scène (Toulouse, FR) and involves creation residencies and performances, with the first one scheduled for September.
During the first phase, creative drama workshops are organized with students in Tarbes and Budapest, where they express their visions, fears, and wants about the future. Following the logic of video games, they also imagine the missions, goals, problems, and resources of the 2060s.
The artistic creation phase will be based on the outcomes of these workshops. The performance will utilize video projections and incorporate real-time motion-capture techniques to blend virtual and physical spaces. Even remotely, students will have the opportunity to participate through a multiplayer game platform or live on stage, using net-art, video, stand-up, and theatre.
This program is being supported through the Teatroskop 2024 call for projects.
