Regional focus dedicated to circus and dance in Zagreb!
STRONGER TOGETHER: PERFORMING ARTS & TERRITORIAL DEVELOPMENT
As a part of the 10th edition of Cirkobalkana festival and the 39th edition of Dance Week Festival, a FOCUS dedicated to contemporary dance and circus will be organized by Teatroskop network and the French Institute in Croatia, in partnership with Cirkorama and Croatian Institute for Movement and Dance. This will be a great opportunity to discover prominent contemporary creations coming from France and exciting collaborations between French and regional artists! Through a rich and diverse program of performances and roundtables for professionals you will get a chance to meet artists and other cultural professionals from South-East Europe! This international meeting will specifically cover the two following topics:
- Cross-sectoral cooperation and networking as leverage to strengthen contemporary dance and circus
- Decentralisation and audience development, performing arts across communities and public spaces
Its purpose is to highlight the incredible creativity, resilience and potential of these sectors, but also to explore together, by sharing good practices and experiences between European countries, how to improve the development of circus and dance sectors at international level, encourage mutual insemination and increase their level of inclusion in social and cultural policies.
