Collaboration laboratory for interdisciplinary practices
Collaboration laboratory for interdisciplinary practices is a project led by Cirkus Kolektiv in Split, including 4 associations from Southeast Europe and focused on developing collaboration with French circus artists. It includes multiple residency, performance, masterclass and round table activities focused on promotion and development of interdisciplinary approach to circus art and performative art in the region.
Program:
“The Exhibition project: When Circus Is Not Itself Anymore” (21-28/10) is a series of performative installations merging the world of contemporary circus and performance art performed in performance venues, galleries, site specific locations and exhibition spaces around the world. This project will include collaboration with local curator and workshops for local artists.
Residency of Collectif Tumult (01-07/11)
Tumult is a collective of four tightwire artists. The collective works on relearning and redefining diverse ways of collaborating on the tightwire. The challenge is to work with four people on a single wire simultaneously. This residency will include the cooperation with local choreographers and workshops for local artists.
Residency of project Twenty-Nine (07-14/11)
TwentyNine is a site-specific performance. It’s a single crossing of a tightwire, during which the artist creates a garden, underneath the tightwire. The garden will stay as a vegetation-sculpture and the ever-changing trace of the show. This show wants us to question our way of creating art under an ecological perspective, how to create ecologically responsible and zero waste art. This project includes cooperation with local land artists and workshops for local artists.
The project Collaboration laboratory for interdisciplinary practices is supported through Teatroskop Cooperation Grants 2021.
